When my kid was in school, there were a lot of challenges – for both of us. We took a long hard path to reach high school graduation. In her 20s now, she’s doing well – with a good group of friends, working in the tech industry and very happy with where her accomplishments and where life has taken her so far. Along that hard path, we both learned a lot. One of the things I learned was about the art of Coaching, leading me to become certified through an intensive, evidence-based training program geared to teens and young adults. Every kid has it different. But no matter whether the high school years were difficult or the best time of your life, the harder part can be the transition into adulthood. For some, the plan is in place. For others, it’s not such a clear path. Is college an option? Is that what you want? What do you hope to achieve and by when? How will you go about it? You may get a lot of advice from people telling you what you should do, what they would do. That advice may be helpful, or it may just exacerbate anxiety. Considering all of this can be overwheming. I don’t give advice. Instead, I help you define the steps that will work best for you to create the path to your own future. It’s your life, your future – I want to help you own it.
