There’s no one-size-fits-all situation, no universal solution. That’s why I tailor each session to the client, and the client’s chosen agenda.
• I go into each session with a clear mind, aiming only to listen – to hear what the client is really saying.
• I ask questions to clarify and to help the client hear and recognize their own thoughts.
• I then tailor my evidence-based approaches to that specific client, so that they can learn how to find the answers that will work for their objective.
Teens and young adults often find themselves standing in a shadow. It can be the shadow of their parents, other authority figures, or their friends; it can be the shadow of expectations or judgments that may or may not be applicable to them, or sometimes – it can be their own shadow, the eclipse of self-doubt.
Coaching can allow them to step into their own light, to feel heard, recognized, and secure with their own thoughts and emotions. With that, coaching helps them to develop, pursue and achieve their own happiness.
As teens transition into adults, life can become more difficult than most imagine. The walls that enclosed them as teens don’t magically disappear at 18, on top of which many are faced with additional responsibilities. Coaching can be tailored to meet these needs as well. They’ll explore their priorities, and gain the focus to establish their own starting point.
We’re not exploring the why or analyzing the past. We’re working together to realize a vision going forward. Some of what you can expect to see with coaching, depending on your goal, is:
• Enriched sense of self
• Greater family communication
• Improved school or work performance
• Better social relationships
• Decreased anxiety and increased confidence
